Custom Statuses Per Strategic Plan

Summary

  • The list of statuses that elements of a strategic plan can be assigned are currently fixed values. It is desirable to allow Plan Administrators to create their own statuses on a plan by plan basis.

Requirements

  • As a Plan Administrator, I need the ability to configure customized Statuses that Elements of my Strategic Plan can be assigned to.

  • As a Plan Administrator, I need to be able to determine whether the statuses I configure for my Strategic plan are "Active" or "Inactive"

  • As a Plan Administrator, If I configure a Status as "Active" and assign it to a Plan Element the Plan Element should be included in any related logic calculating health throughout the Strategic Plan

  • As a Plan Administrator, If I configure a Status as "Inactive" and assign it to a Plan Element the Plan Element should NOT be included in any related logic calculating health throughout the Strategic Plan

Notes

  • An administrative interface will need to be developed

  • Architectural changes will need to be made both to the database schema as well as interface logic and API application layers

  • Pre-existing plans will likely need to have data manipulation performed in order to assure compatibility when the new statuses are rolled out.

  • We do not feel that this idea has a lot of immediate value given the perceived cost of implementation.
